switching to a laser mouse is better. You will never have to clean it and it will never brake down!
Twist the mouse and unscrew it. Take out the ball n use some alcohol to clean it. Dont use towels. Clean the both horizontal and vertical wheels also.
be sure to clean the mouse pad so that the ball may not get a dust……….
Unscrew the thing on the bottom and take the ball out. Then take a napkin or cloth or something and wipe the wheels until all the crap is gone. The mouse should roll nice and smooth when you you put the ball back in.
I have to do this like every week! Those lazer mice are clearly the wave of the future. Although it is strangely satisfying…..
If you have a manual mouse, there should be a donut shaped piece on the underside, twist it clockwise and it will come off, the ball of the mouse can become dirty, and dusty, cleaning it with a tissue will improve its level of functioning. If it is a laser/infrared mouse, windex to clean the underside should help, if it doesn’t I would advise taking it in to a computer store because it is likely a technical problem. Hope this helps.
Just to add to the previous post, use a q-tip and soak it in alcohol. Just look for the rolling parts inside, there should be 2 or 3. Clean those and your mouse will roll as good as new.
Take out the ball, rub some alcohol.
Damp it dry. Don’t use any towels or anything that might leave some particles.
-There is a lid underneath it, where the ball is. Open that Lid
-turn on a light
– look carefully inside, you will see three metal shining surfaces in there. One to north, one west and one east.
– clean these three metal surfaces
– clean them until they are totaly shining and no dust or dirt is left on neither of them.
– put the ball back and close the lid
– your mouse should be working as it was new
