I know registry cleaners won’t do the trick since a lot of programs leave behind registry files to later tell if its been used by the computer before. How can I find these reg files that are associated with a particular program? Any tricks (while installed still or not I just need this program removed completely)? Thanks
Btw its a screen recorder

Actually, It will remain as it is until you use registry cleaner to clean it to save information for future use. But it may cause error sometimes or in long term. So i always prefer registry cleaner. Try it.
The registry consists of just a few files; there are not files specifically for any program(s). So if you could delete your registry files, your computer would quit working. What you can do is edit or remove entries in the registry.
Registry Crawler is a program that can search through the registry a lot faster than regedit. Be aware that any time you mess with the registry you run the risk of breaking something, and Microsoft will not provide support to help repair the damage.
Right Click My Computer/Properties/Tools/Error Checking,CheckNow/Check Box:Automatically Fix File System Errors/Start
go to run and type regedit. go to current user and then you will see all the registry files inside folders of the program.
Your anti-virus program should have a registry cleaner. Activate it and then use the shredder part to completely erase any lingering files. They will be permanently gone this way.
Any programs you are "going" to uninstall use revo , it will search out
the "original" reg entry’s made by the" original" installer and give the option to remove them during an uninstall .

As for removing entry’s made from previously uninstalled programs etc.
ccleaner

A little care is needed ,but you will always have a prompt to save
be for a change is made and restoring should you make an error is
simple with a click. The stored back up is a very small file .
Just a word of advice when using revo if a bold-ed area is not visible
expand the folder.
My biggest challenge for revo was a trial version of office 2007 , i removed 4000 files.
