Depends how corrupted "corrupted" is. If it’s really broken (e.g. files completely removed or contents changed), then the answer is: restore from tape (resp. the backup medium of your choice).
If it’s the OS, then reinstall OS.
you just need to boot from the windows cd – if vista it has a repair option – if xp you need to follow the prompts to run a repair – http://www.computer-adviser.com/xp-repair.html
there’s nothing to fix it, when it is a corrupted there’s no solution for it,
format your computer,..
Let system check disk run the checking.
If you could boot, or even boot in safe mode,
[To boot in safe mode, when you just turned on your computer, press F8 and a menu should come out. Use up and down arrows and enter to select. Selet Safe Mode]
try this
Run Command Prompt with Admin usage
type SFC/SCANNOW
This will check for corrupted files in the system’
for more options, just type SFC and see the list of options
Hope this helps
