did you look at advanced password recovery? if price is an issue then download their free version.
you can try to google Password Genius
Yes, I think you need reset windows password software. You may try total windows password reset. I have used it and I think it is good! You may try it !
It only need a few steps.
Step1: Download Super Windows Password Reset and prepare a new CD/DVD or blank USB flash drive.
Step2: Burn CD/DVD or USB flash drive
Step3: Boot the locked computer from CD/DVD or USB flash drive and remove the password.
Step4: Login your Windows again.
I donwload it from http://resetwindowspassword.net
Hope it can help you!
Hi there,
Try this…
Boot off the DVD, then after it finishes loading, on the bottom left corner you will select "REPAIR YOUR COMPUTER". From here the "System Recovery Options" box will load, and you need to click on "COMMAND PROMPT".
When the black "COMMAND PROMPT" box opens up, you need to type "mmc.exe" without the quotes.
Click on the File menu, select Add / Remove Snap-in option, locate and select the Local Users and Groups on the left panel, and click Add button to add it to the right panel.
Now, the Choose Target Machine dialog box pop up. Keep the default setting by clicking the Finish button – that means using the Local Users and Groups snap-in to manage this local computer, and not another computer in network.
Click OK button and return to MMC windows. Under the Root Console in left panel, double-click Local Users and Group that was added earlier. Click on User folder, locate and right-click the target Vista logon account that found in the right panel.
Select the Set Password from the right-click menu to set a new password / reset old password.
Remember, Vista does NOT have an administrator account enabled by default, so if you didn’t add it, it isn’t there.
Good Luck!
Julia
Your mini laptop likely doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive so I’ll guide you directly on how to reset the admin password using a USB flash drive. I take it that you have another computer with admin privileges and you have a spare USB flash drive with at least 5 megs free space and it is formatted in FAT32. Otherwise, reformat the USB flash drive in FAT32.
1) Go to this site: http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd
2) Download the latest version of the file you need:
http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/cd100627.zip
Save the file to a temporary folder you want. Open the file and extract the file named cd100627.iso to the same temporary folder you created. Open that ISO. If you can’t read the contents of the ISO image then you need to install a free ISO reader like 7-Zip to open it:
http://www.7-zip.org
3) Copy all contents of the ISO image to the main folder of your flash drive. It cannot be inside a sub-folder. There should be 10 files to copy. You may want to read the contents of the README.TXT if you want to know more.
4) Make your flash drive bootable. Open up a DOS Command prompt. Go to where your flash drive is. Let’s say it is in drive j: Type these:
j:\syslinux.exe -ma j:
Replace j with the appropriate letter if your USB drive is on another drive letter other than j:
On some drives, you may have to omit the -ma option if you get an error. If it says nothing, it probably did install the bootloader.
5) Now go back to your locked mini laptop. Boot from this USB flash drive. Please note that you may have to adjust the settings in your computer’s BIOS setup to enable you to boot from a USB device and follow the instructions. Don’t be intimidated by the numerous texts that will be displayed. Most of the default choices will be made for you and should be easy to follow.
sometimes you just need to click enter without a password it happened in my mom’s com
You must remove the systems battery. not the computer battery. That erases everything off the computer.
You may have installed some programs wrongly.Don’t worry,i can show you how to remove the password
As you can’t login Windows XP operating system, the only thing you can do is making a Windows password recovery disk and using the disk to recover your Windows password, and then you need:
1> a blank CD disk or USB flash drive.
2> a computer that can download from Internet .
3> a program that can recover Windows password.
However, there are many software available and you don’t know which is better,If that,I suggest you some good software both me and my friends always use:
Windows Password Key:It is considered as the best tool to reset local administrator and user passwords on any Windows system. You can get more from http://www.lostwindowspassword.com
