I uninstalled a certain program, but then something happened to my computer which I had to use System Restore to remedy. However, in doing so I reverted to a point before the uninstall, causing the program to reappear on the add/remove programs list. The program cannot be removed the traditional way, since the data no longer exists, and it bothers me immensely to have it hanging there. The program came with the computer, so I do not have the CD/executable to reinstall and then uninstall it as some forums suggested.
I realize that the cause is probaly an invalid registry key that came up after I ran system restore, but Registry Mechanic did not help. Is there something I can do to remove the program?

1. go to command prompt and type regedit.
2. Backup your registry
3. search for the name of the program in the registry that is listed in the add and remove program that you are trying to remove. Make sure you look for it EXACTLY.
4. when you find that program name under the heading Uninstall in the registry – delete the complete key.
5. Reboot the computer and see if it returns.
If you have a problem – just double click on the registry backup you made and it will reinstall and then you reboot and the computer will be back the way it was.
you can download a web tool like "advanced uninstaller"
just look in your browser the name you can download one demo and run after and you can get off this program .
