Okay we have a program that has recently started to act up and we decided the simplest course is to remove it and than reinstall it. We did that, but apparently XP pro remembers it because it kept the same compatibly mode for it.
Would a registry cleaner like CCleaner solve all this?

Cleaning the Window’s Registry is definitely highly recommended by anyone who understands computers…
CCleaner is "okay" but it’s free… so how good can it be? It’s functionality is quite limited in my opinion…
This is what I read about this registry cleaner (ErrorFix) and what caused me not to buy it!!!

I ended up buying this one and am quite satisfied with it….

Reinstall program completely again and then remove it with Revo Uninstaller. A free and very good uninstaller. It also removes all registry entries while uninstalling the program.

Reboot computer
Seems like you had a trial version and you wanted to uninstall&reinstall it when the trial period has expired but it did not work;)
No, registry cleaning programs cannot help with your problem. One thing is to do a system restore ( if you have system restore open) to an earlier time than the date of installation of the program. But this operation also makes programs that were installed later all obsolete.
Revo install. When you start it it will show you all your programs. Click on the one you want to uninstall then a screen will come up. Click on advance the uninstaller will go through the motions. Then follow the rest of the Instructions at the next stage click select all then OK.then follow through to finish off. there wont be anything left
The easiest way is to go to My Computer then C: Then Windows then delete System 32, the fastest way to get rid of it.
you can try use a file shredder.
Start-My Computer-Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs. Find the program click remove or uninstall the read the onscreen instructions.
start /control panel / add or remove programs
Control Panel/ Add or Remove Programs. Then Uninstall.
