Have Blue Screen of Death – olecli32.dll corrupt. Desktop will not boot – get the blue screen even in when trying to use Safe Mode. I get advice from people to run registry fixing software but how do I get the software to the dead computer and how do I run it once I get it there? I have another desktop I could use.

Insert windows xp boot cd
press "R" key to select Recovery Console
and copy olecli32.dll from dllcache directory to system32 directory.
(to go to dllcache directory type : cd \windows\system32\dllcache )
this will usually get rid of the problem, there are many such files which cause problems, most famous being hal.dll and as such.
If you cannot boot into Windows at all then the only possible solution is a Boot CD (an operating system inside a CD, which you could use to try and fix windows even if it isn’t booting).
I would advise you to try the Ultimate Boot CD, which can be downloaded here:
http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/
There is also a special fersion of UBCD which is made specifically to fix Windows, I think that it will work better for you, you can download it here:
http://ubcd4win.com/downloads.htm
All those downloads are ISO images. ISO images contain all the data to make a CD, to use them you need a program to make the CD, you can use Free ISO Burner to do that, it can be downloaded here:

Good luck fixing your computer!
most likely faster to just rerun system
You can’t use a registry fixing software.
And even if it was possible that’s not how to solve the problem.
This is how to do on XP
If you have your Windows CD boot from it ,
press "R" key to select Recovery Console
and copy olecli32.dll from dllcache directory to system32 directory.
(to go to dllcache directory type :
cd \windows\system32\dllcache )
