Take these steps before doing what I have listed below. Open All Programs> Accessories> Comand Prompt . Now type "ping 127.0.0.1" if this fails there is something wrong with your TCP/IP (follow step bellow). If not try a different cable.
Go to your computer manufacturer’s website, locate your model of computer, and locate their driver page (usually under support/e support). They usually split up the drivers into groups look for "Network ", locate the download link. If you are on the computer that you want to do this on just simply download and run it. If you are on a different computer right click and click "Save link as" save it to a flash thumb drive or any storage device and run it on the machine that needs repair. I would suggest uninstalling your NIC first then running the file you got from your man. website. To do this click start Right click on "Computer" and select "Manage" a security message may appear, select yes. In the left hand tab select "Device Manager", under network adapters you will see the problem NIC, right click it and select "Uninstall". Once this is done run the file that you got from your Manufacturer’s website.
