Computer will become slow by the day past and the "Junk" is becoming more and more. You should do these at least once a week:
1. Run a FULL COMPLETE virus scan.
2. Run a FULL COMPLETE spyware scan.
3. Run a FULL COMPLETE registry clean.
Tip and Tricks to make computer faster.
1. My computer (right click)>propeties>advance> Performance settings>Adjust for best performace>OK>OK
Hi,
To speed up your computer.
1. use defragmenter tool and defrag all drives — at least once a week.
2. use chkdsk command by typing the word chkdsk under
the command prompt — at least twice a month.
3. do not use any registry cleaner it might cause problem in the end.
4. that’s right use avg anti-virus and update as often as you could and scan all drives to ensure your pc is virus and spyware free.
5. if you have a budget try installing (additional) at least 128MB ram coz’ winxp requires at least 128MB and if you
installed several software these might coz’ ur computer to run slower.
You can always upgrade your ram to a 1gig or 2.
Note: To make sure that you’re installing the correct RAM for your PC, be sure to check your owner’s manual
But if you dont want to open up your computer beacuse it may void your warranty, you can just try:
Disk Defragmenter
Disk Cleanup
(Preinstalled in computer)
• Remove temporary Internet files.
• Remove downloaded program files (such as Microsoft ActiveX controls and Java applets).
Empty the Recycle Bin.
Remove Windows temporary files.
Remove optional Windows components that you don’t use.
Remove installed programs that you no longer use.
Run Defragmenter and download spybot search and destroy. then check for updates and delete/uninstall any programs you don’t use. actually do those in the reverse order.
1. uninstall crap
2. check for updates for ALL hardware
3. Use spybot S&D http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Spybot_Search_and_Destroy/1043809773/1
4. Defragment. what this does is rearrange all the information that has been installed/deleted/moved/filed/whatever on your computer so the harddrive doesn’t have to search as long for it. It will speed up quite a bit if you do this.

i think it will help you a lot!
To run "defrag", click START, go up to PROGRAMS, go to ACCESSORIES, then SYSTEM TOOLS, then just click on DISK DEFRAGMENTER.
