Microsoft Registry Problems = Slow Computer!
Clean windows registry means faster PC performance. The registry is one of the most valuable sections of your PC. This is where important information and directories relating to installed software, hardware, temporary files downloaded from the Internet, created documents and folders, and other minor and minor applications are stored.
Over time, you install new programs, uninstalled unimportant programs, update software’s, install new devices, download files from the web, etcetera, hence embarking all records in the registry system. This is normal, but it is not wise to leave it untouched. Once in a while, you have to check and remove files that are no longer in use to maintain the speed of your PC.

run ccleaner and malwarebytes to get rid of malwares which may be sitting and showing wrong info on hdd free space, download them from http://www.download.com they are free and also shift+delete unwanted music/ video files to permanently remove from the hdd.
The Windows Registry is the master control center for your operating system and applications it runs. Corruption or overload registry issues can cause all sorts of pc performance problems, including poor application startup times, slow Windows start-up, extremely slow shut down, slow internet surfing, inability to resume from computer sleep and more.Cleaning, compacting, and optimizing your Windows registry can go a long way to dramatically speeding up your computer’s performance, start-up and shutdown speed.
Recommended: Run a Registry Scan http://make-computer-run-smoothly.com Now to Detect Errors and Improve your PC’s speed instantly!
1. Get rid off al lthe files you no longer need, old software, etc.
2. Store stuff you only use occasionally on cds/dvds (make multiple copies) and clean off hard disk.
3. try for at least 9Gnb free space, 18Gb if you can manage it.
4. defrag, defrag, and defrag again.
Storage space does NOT affect the speed…but…..
if it is so full, you probebly have files on it that DOES slow you down,
do DISC CLEAN UP, check in all the boxes.
do DISK DEFRAGMENTER.
both are in ACCESSORIES > SYSTEM TOOLS.
Yes, your free space is probably troubling you.But try this also
01.
As the first step, scan Your Windows System for Errors. To do this use a utility called
‘System File Checker’.
To launch the ‘System File Checker’,close any open programs on your Desktop and follow the
step,
Click Start and run > sfc /scannow > OK
It will correct every problems it finds.
02.
Do not allow to start Programs automatically.
03.
Uninstall unused programs.
04.
Change your Visual Effects.
Right click on ‘My Computer’ Click Properties > Advanced tab > Performance > Settings
Adjust effects as the version of your Windows.
05.
CleanUp your Disks.
Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > click Disk Cleanup.
You will be prompted to specify which drive you want to clean.
06.
Defrag Your Hard Drives.
Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > click Disk Defragmenter.
* You can analyze a volume before defragmenting it to get an estimate of how long the
defragmentation process will take.
I hope this will help you…!
