Check http://www.pc-optimizer-pro.info
With pc optimizer pro you can safely clean, repair and optimize your computer.
It will help improve your system performance without expensive hardware upgrades.
Good luck!
Dont run too many softwares at the same time
upgrading the ram is not always the answer because there are things to consider like money factors and other component’s performance (not only the ram). first look for things that are not necessary for windows to work. windows defender is a good tool to do this job. remove startup programs that are rarely used and freeup some disk space. always defragment your system at least 3 times a month or every other week. fragmented files also reduces performance because it takes more time to open up files.
upgrades? you must consider the performance of your components other than the ram because if the components cant keep up with the ram, the ram upgrade will be useless. look for high clock speeds (RAM & processors), high capacity & high rpm’s (hard drives). your computer can only go as fast as your slowest component…
Overclock you processor speed. This can be done by a professional or this website can show you how http://hardware.earthweb.com/chips/article.php/603051
i like to use a program called ccleaner, its free, fast and reliable. ccleaner searches you hard drive and find cookies and other spyware. this is like clearing your temp internet files and cookies but faster and more precise. on my first scan i got 1.32 gigabytes freed up
Another way of speeding things up, is by cleaning your desktop with less icons. Shortcuts you don’t use often can be put into the recycling bin. Uninstalling unecessary "games" can also be helpful in speeding up your computer. If all else fails, do a virus scan, as a virus can also slow things down.
right click to my computer then go to advance tab then click on performance settings then click on adjust for best performance. then go to advance tab click on change then allot virtual memory to another colon also.
then ok then ok and ok
also switchoff the automatic updates and remot assistant from advance tab
Well…defrag your entire system and overclock your CPU
I agree with Chubz. Increase your memory space.
in XP do the following its not hard but may take time
Slow computer IE freezes
==================
Slowly tap the F8 key while the computer is powering up
Just after Verifying DMI files occurs the F8 key will point the computer to a menu where safe mode can be selected.
Note if you mistakenly tap F8 key again, it will continue through to normal boot
Scroll and select safe mode with network
Use explorer to delete the contents of the folder datastore.
Datastore can be found in c:\windows\softwaredistribution.
You may have to do this regularly when the computer slows.
The folder rebuilds itself and the contents are to do with windows updates and logs for errors. There is no harm in deleting the contents.
Reboot.
Also
In IE7 Advance Tab
Click Restore defaults
Tick empty temp files when browser closes (this empties the cache)
Bullet disable phishing filter
Delete all browsing history, cookies
Then
Do all this

Download and run superantispyware. I was put onto this program because of an annoying popup (XP)
http://www.superantispyware.com
Superantispyware is a good program and remember to update it before scanning. A scan may take 45mins.
afterwards clean up the registry with this
Clean up pc and IE
==============
To clean up run this Microsoft’s windows live program. It does registry, spyware , virus , disk clean up and defrag
it takes 2 hours or more so once it starts to scan (go to bed etc)
XP Users http://onecare.live.com/site/en-ca/defau…
Vista Users http://onecare.live.com/site/en-ca/cente…
Run the full scanner, then at the end of the scan it asks you to set it running full time.
Think twice about setting it to run in the background as it could be another thing to slow you down. However, it may be worth while if you have no other security programs running.
Consider the following options:
I personally run Norton 360 which is full internet security and run superantispyware when I want to.
So if you don’t have a decent internet security program then perhaps run the superantispyware with your antivirus in the background.
If you sick of antivirus programs that don’t work perhaps run onecare full time and run superantispyware whenever..
Now you should be flying and Onecare has even set up a new system restore point for you.
-set your visual settings on your PC to low
-scan for bugs
-press and hold " ctrl alt del " and check the system processor, and close what is not needed.
-try making your virtual memory higher
although i think RAM is the way to go 😉
