You have a dual-core, you’re fine. You clearly don’t need to upgrade the CPU just because your computer is slow from malware. Do a virus scan, and download & run CCleaner. Or, reinstall Windows. You’re also on 32-bit Windows, which means you’re only utilizing 2GB of your 4GB of RAM. Install Windows 7 64-bit so you can take advantage of ALL 4GB.
wow your ghz is low, get an upgrade for that. get intel core i3 or i7 (quad core), and get like 2.88 ghz (for quad core) or 3.3 ghz (for i3). i3 is way cheaper, but quad core doubles the speed.
Is your PC a laptop or desktop? If it’s a laptop you cannot upgrade the motherboard if it’s a desktop it’s much simpler to install the motherboard.
You’ll have to replace the processor.
I strongly suggest getting a new laptop over upgrading old hardware.
