Registry Cleaners

Myth – "Registry Cleaners improve performance."
Reality – "A few hundred kilobytes of unused keys and values causes no noticeable performance impact on system operation. Even if the registry was massively bloated there would be little impact on the performance of anything other than exhaustive searches."
Notes – "Registry Cleaners can fix problems associated with traces of applications left behind due to incomplete uninstalls. So it seems that Registry junk is a Windows fact of life and that Registry cleaners will continue to have a place in the anal-sysadmin’s tool chest."

Hey Listen to me there are thousands of software for registery cleaning and boosting, but most of them are themselves virus infected or they slow down processing. So what i recommend is RegisterBooster from UniBlue, it nice and has a startup facility.I have tried it up.I also have installed the SpyEraser software from the same company. This sofware is almost a antivirus but it only blocks. Its blocking capabilities are awesome. It is really good and essential to keep.Well download both of the nad do as u desire.
A registry cleaner is a program that will scan the registry for any keys that are outdated, don’t lead anywhere, are corrupt or ones that you simply don’t need.
For the most part they are safe to use, at least unless you use an advanced one that gives you lots of control. You should not delete any registry keys that you don’t know about.
Use a reputable cleaner. But, the question is, why are you cleaning your registry? If you want to improve performance, you should look elsewhere. Clean out your PC, defrag, stop services that you don’t use and optimize the things you do use. Also, a RAM or CPU upgrade might be worthwhile, while a video card upgrade can help if your games are slow.
it absolutely is NOT safe .. i never use them anymore and never have problems … keep ur windows install disk handy if u use a registry cleaner often ..
The only one I trust is CCleaner. The second option called "Issues" will clean up unneeded entries in the registry. It’s also great for cleaning the junk from your hard drive. And it’s free.

This is a good / free / safe one: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm
Registry cleaners a supposedly 100% safe to use. Most offer a back up style program for you to utilize in case something goes awry. Just go to http://www.download.com and type in registry cleaner or mechanic and make sure it’s a completely free version, not a "free to try, pay later" version. Look for one that gets high marks from both the editors and users. RegScrub XP does a nice job. Download and install and watch the junk on your computer get erased!
