Reformatting is the surest way. Before installing windoows you may want to create an Ubuntu OS CD free online and maybe see if you like it hehe
You could manually go into each file and folder and delete, delete, delete and you still might not get everything off. To be sure you didn’t leave anything on it the best thing to do is format the drive and reinstall the operating system then you will know the computer is clean.
In the end, even if you are as diligent as possible, it’d still be best to re-install the operating system, if you want a 100% sweep. You’re human. It’s easy to miss things.
Otherwise, clean out your browser cache/cookies, all your files (my documents, ect), and all the temp folders. That should take care of the majority of it. Also delete anything that happens to be located anywhere that you hid it. (Just in case.)
first you could wipe the computer and re-instal the basics and/or instal pop-up blockers
I can suggest you privacy control software that allows a free scan of your pc http://clocks.110mb.com/privacy.html
It depends on the OS. You can attempt to search all the adult words that the pornography may have in the title. Or, you can search through your computer and find all of those and delete them, or move them to a secretive file.
That’s what I would do..
Go thru every folder: temp folder, recent folders and delete. This will get rid of files on your hard drive as well as websites visited. Don’t forget to delete any inappropriate favorite bookmarks. If you use Google Desktop, uninstall that. It remembers everything!
