   You do not need a registry cleaner.

   That does not mean you should not use one if you like. Some are better than others. Check PC Magazine (website) for the best cleaner (under utilities).

   Registry cleaners do not make your computer run faster. Simple system maintenance (delete temp files, defrag your disk) makes a computer run faster. Remove items from your startup that you don’t need (msconfig).

   Viruses, trojan horses and malware make your computer run really slow. If you haven’t already, invest in a good security suite (Norton Antivirus is a good one).

   Be very careful with programs that claim to fix your computer but are in fact bringing in malware and shake you down for money. That’s the worst stuff.
