I bought a laptop a month ago, I did purchase a norton security but wondering if I need virus protection?

   yes you sure do need virus protection.

   Norton Internet Security contains an anti-virus, as well as a Firewall and some other anti-malware components.

   Use it. Don’t forget to keep it updated (it has an automatic LiveUpdate feature). Run a full-machine scan at least once a week (you can schedule this for automatic overnight runs so it doesn’t get in the way of your normal usage).
