   use one of these

   it will show you in graphics form where the large files are on your hard drive. The files are color coded so you can see whats safe to delete.

   First go to your background and right click it and click properties. Then go to the Desktop tab and then click Customize Desktop. Then click Clean Desktop now.

   go to start>programs>accessories>system tools>disk clean up
