You can create a Windows password reset disk to reset your password. Follow this 5 easy steps:
1. Enter a computer that can link to Internet. Download Windows Password Reset Tool from http://www.windowspasswordreset.net and install the software on that computer.
2. Run the software and create windows password reset disk by follow the instructions.
3. Eject the created CD/DVD and insert it into the locked computer.
4. Reboot the locked computer (it’s necessary for you to change your locked computer’s BIOS setting to make it boot from CD drive) and then follow the instructions to reset Account password.
5. Now login Windows and set a new password.
when your computer is starting up press F8 repeatedly. A screen will come up asking you which mode to start in. choose safe mode.
press enter until you come to a login screen. there should be a new account there called administrator. if it asks you for a password type password.
go to start>run>control userpasswords 2>reset password
If you forgot windows administrator password and don’t have a password reset disk, just follow my steps:
F8 at logo when booting up,then you are login in safe mode, enter as administrator and then go to accounts and change windows password and that’s with XP. I haven’t forgotten password for a pc before but can enter any XP pc in safe if the owner hasn’t gone into safe mode and designated a password for "administrator" and usually only have a password for the user account but never have tried on Vista or Win7.
if that does not work, you can use software to reset the forgotten windows password, read more:
