yes ….you can create an new partition on your hdd…transfer all the files you want to save there….dont worry about viruses…for now…reformat and reinstal a fresh copy of your os….instal AV softvare…update it…and run it on your new partition….just in case…
Click on START then RUN. Type
CMD
then press enter. In the black box that appears type
SFC /SCANNOW
then press enter.
Have your WIndows install disc handy. This will check to make sure all of the windows key files are not corrupt and replace those it finds bad. You will have to run Windows Update once this is completed.

A BSoD Error is a Blue Screen of Death Error.
You’d need to uninstall and reinstall the OS, which is the quickest way of resolving the issue.
Yes, your transferring the necessary data to another partition would be a good idea.
However check for infected and corrupted files before the transfer.
