Hey!
you could try a vacuum cleaner, I am not real sure if you would need the special "desktop vacuum cleaner" I usually use compressed air. for tips on cleaning here is http://www.computerhope.com/cleaning.htm
Dell has no way of knowing. Just to be safe call dell support while you do it.
Take it to a local shop that is certified to work and Dell’s and make them clean it. They will bill Dell. Do it every few months. Annoy them, and then mention that you could do it yourself. They may not be against it, and if you develop a relationship with a certain shop, when something really bad happens you have people on your side.
You do NOT, I repeat, do NOT want to void that warranty, especially since Dell MoBo’s have a tendency to blow their capacitors.
Yes, if you open it up with out being a registered technician or being advised by a Dell technician(the Dell technician that advises you, creates a reference number).
What model do you have?
Go to http://www.dell.com and locate your model and look at the manual for it, it will inform you how to open the case.
You will NOT void the warranty, DELL has no way of knowing!
