When I try to download a program, do a Registry Clean, this idiot program pops up and prevents me from completeing the task, considering it is no longer backed by a disc and I don’t have the disc either.

Go into the control panel and click on add/remove programs on the left hand side is add/remove windows components. click on it and remove the Journal viewer
If you don’t need the features of the Windows Journal Viewer, you can safely remove it.
To remove Windows Journal Viewer:
1. Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Change or Remove Programs.
3. Click Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer, and then click Remove.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to remove Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer.
5. If prompted, restart the computer.
