Try changing your password. That might end the problem.
Yahoo does not send emails with links in them asking you to "confirm" your account name and password. Spammers send these pretending to be Yahoo. That is often how they get to do the kind of thing they did to you.

Yahoo e-mail is web mail. Someone either hacked your account and it was turned into a spam bot, or it was turned into a spambot because someone hacked into your account. I would terminate the e-mail account. Someone got a hold of your password somehow, without malicious software getting oto your computer.
I find it close to impossible that someone got into your computer without leaving any spyware behind, although it is possible to do that and that probably did happen. You should terminate the e-mail account because if there is a bot or something in your e-mail it could track messages or even take personal info off the web. Don’t try contacting Yahoo, last time I tried that it took them a week to answer my e-mail. Delete the Yahoo one and use different e-mail provider.
