Ccleaner does not get into the registry files, but you can download tune up utilities 2007 that will clean that out.
CCleaner just clean your system temp files and cookies
where as you can try some sofware like registry cleaner , system mechanic etc .,
for cleaning registry only for uninstalled software
try this link ..
Try to see if the options menu has any way of choosing which files in the registry you can delete. Is this registry mechanic. They have a support line you can call. If not check with your software provider for any support.
Good luck
Run the "issues" function, and it will clean everything that goes nowhere.Safe, but if you are cautious, it has a backup function. Also ,you might check this out:http://www.geekclaw.com/download.html Hack cleaner is a neat little program that does a better job in my opinion. I use both, and like the memory function on hack cleaner. For all the "naysayers" regarding CCleaner. please take another look. Try the "registry" tab?
Someone has been giving you duff information. Ccleaner does nothing to clean the registry. Try downloading a fully working trial version of TuneUp Utils from:
http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/
It should do everything you need and more besides.
