I have wiped my computer clean and put the start-up cd in and my computer still freezes… what should i do?

If it freezes and becomes totally unresponsive, you probably have corrupt system memory or some device is causing it to hang.
Use Linux or buy a Mac
sounds like you either need more ram. or you will need a new hard drive. it should not freeze consistently. try it again to do a test.

Its a hardware issue, not a software. Should have asked a computer person before wiping it.
if wiped you mean format the only two other options would be to either buy a new hard drive or buy a new pc

It sounds to me that your cpu is overheating possibly a heat sink or fan problem maybe your heat sink is dirty, clogged up with dust and causing it to overheat this would account for it freezing, if it was a broken fan then the pc might not boot up at all. I might be wrong and I probably am but it might be worth your while to check it out just in case.
