NO! My computer was destroyed by that thing. Ignore it, trust the anti stuff that you already have.
run msconfig and choose diagnostic startup and uncheck run starup items, then apply, close and yes to restart and use the computer, if it doesn’t happen anymore the go back to msconfig and startup tab and check half of the stuff back in then apply, close and yes to restart. use it sommore and if it stil desn’t then do the same thing adn narrow it down to whichever program maybe causing it.
if you did the first step and it is still happening, then goto control panel and administrative tools and goto services and stop and disable messenger then run msconfig and check the load startup items back in. apply, close, and restart then use your computer.
if it still happens after that and something re-checked itself in the startup items then reboot to safe mode by restarting then tap f8 on boot. once in safe mode run msconfig and uncheck the thing that is checked and check everything else back in except anything that is a duplicate of what was checked in, apply, close and say no to restart, then goto c:windows\prefetch folder and highlight every file in there with ctrl-a then hold shift and press delete and say yes to deleting everything in there then restart adn it should stop.
Is the scam registry cleaner advertising trying to sell you some software from one of these sites? Then these popups are exploiting the almost always unused "messenger Service" in Windows. The solution is below the list.

Do these popups say "Messenger Service" in the title bar?
If so, then you are using an older version or (un-updated) of Windows (pre XP SP2). These type of popups exploit the Messenger Service in your Windows OS, which after XP SP2 is disabled by default.
A popup blocker "thingy" will be of no help in this case.
You have 3 choices to end the problem.
1. You can disable and stop Messenger Service by typing "services msc." (without the ""s) into your Run Box and then disabling and stopping Messenger Service.
OR
2. You can use the free utility called Shoot The Messenger to automatically disable this unnecessary service.

Please note that Windows Messenger Service is not the same as any Instant Messenger program that you may have on your computer. Disabling it will not cause you to lose any IM functionality that you may have.
OR (Best Solution)
3. Update or upgrade your operating system to at least Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).
Good luck

it is a pop up spam , make sure its blocked in the pop up blocker
also make sure no software is installed on ur pc does that
thanx
No please don’t do it. You need to scan your computer with a better spyware program than you are currently using….. i recommend webroot spy sweeper. what AV, FW, and spyware programs are you currently using? If it is symantec(norton), dont bother answering and just go out and get spy sweeper with anti virus (you can do it yourself, you dont need a professional, dont waste your money)
it is a virus. you can have as many firewalls as you want there will always be one that gets through. dont download it. you may have to get it cleaned by a professional.
It’s ad-ware or spy ware. Don’t use it go to http://www.iolo.com and download there trial ware for system mechanic 7 pro. It has a spy sweeper thing in there. Get rid of it.
