I personally use Uniblue’s registry cleaner, link here: http://www.liutilities.com/products/registrybooster/
Digging around in the registry is hazardous enough if done by hand, one line at a time, let alone letting a program do it. Many "registry cleaners" do the job WAY too good and trash your computer. How do you sort out a good cleaner from one that is not good? Dumb luck is the best answer. Unless you are at your computer almost all day, and installing and deleting programs several times a day, your registry is pretty much OK. IS the machine showing signs of registry bloat or aberrant behavior? If not, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
there are plenty of registry cleaner, some work too good. but why do you think its needs cleaning, you can damage your system with a cleaner. unless you’ve been very active online and downloading and removing software for 2 or 3 years, i wouldn’t mess with it unless its broke.
Try somewhere like http://www.download.com and search for some freeware or trail software that will do the job.
I use Ace Utilities – tried it free for 30 days, liked it, bought it.
yep go and get Tune up maintenance 30 day free trial resolves loads of unknown to you issues too very good.
Use this. Free from MSFT – Click on Tuneup Scan
