try the free Avast anti virus
Avast is very good and free.
Avast is very light on computer memory.
Avast updates automatically twice a day.
Avast scans web pages in real time and blocks the virus in its tracks.

There are a lot of good free anti-virus software programs out on the market. One of them being AVG free. It is a free version of their software that never expires, is not a free trial, is trusted by more than 110 users, and does not ask anything of you. If you want more information about this software or a direct link to their website then check out my blog with a post about this particular program. http://electogeek.blogspot.com/
use this one and it is MUCH better than Norton and it is FREE http://www.avast.com and also run this for antimalware protection – http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html
Try Microsoft Security Essentials for Virus protection and spyware protection. It’s "real time" protection and free. Along with that get the free Malwarebytes and you’ll be fairly safe for free! I use both and am satisfied. Good luck!
I would suggest Avast, Avast now includes anti-virus, anti-spyware capability and anti-rootkit components. And all for the low low price of free. You can get it here:

The new Avast 5 kicks some serious keister!
(Always use only 1 A-V…You must NEVER use more than one anti-virus, Even an expired anti-virus can cause a major conflict… did I mention that you MUST uninstall any and all, old anti-virus products like your Norton?)
Just be aware that Norton can sometimes be a royal PITA to uninstall completely, you may need to download and run the Norton Removal Tool from the Norton / Symantec website.

Good luck.
Just personal opinion of course. I use Avast , I have also got superantispyware and Malwarebytes. I recently changed to Comodo firewall which seems fine and I seem to boot up quicker. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly.
You will have to find the appropriate links as i am now getting violations each time I post a link. Seems like I have a troll.
