Go to task mananger, and run explorer.exe! It should pop back up! I had this problem yesterday!
Try pressing ctrl+esc. If that doesn’t work, go to the task manager. Go to file run, type "explorer", and press enter. If that doesn’t work you’re SOL. I can try to help you further once you do that.
if you came to the point where you don’t know what else you can do, than I know a pretty good site. I always use it when I have absolutely no more ideas. It is an antivirus program site with the name bitdefender. Search for the link online virus scan. It is free, 100 percent up to date and it fixes your problems immeditaly. But it takes (depending on the harddrive size and file quantity up to 3 hours).
Maybe a FATAL Microsoft error. try to re-install your windows.
what did you open? a program? off the internet or what?
Are you sure it is a virus not you misconfiguring your view settings.
Sometimes you might accidentally hide all the desktop icons.
To undo this
1)Right click anywhere over the desktop (not any icon).
2)Arrange icons by
3)Make sure there is a checkmark next to the words show desktop icons.
In addition, you might set your computer to auto hide the taskbar.
* To undo this:
1)Right click on the taskbar (not on start or the windows globe)
2)Then click on Auto-hide taskbar (there should be nothing in that box in front of it).
Another way:
1)Control panel
2)Appearance and themes (if in category mode if not skip this step)
3)Taskbar and start menu
4)Follow the steps above *
Hope that helps! 🙂
