first of all search for install.log on ur computer in all the drives from search…u may get an install.log of any other program…copy that in to the program file of the software u want uninstall…then it will uninstall..and of xp cd..put the disk to ur disk drive…and type sfc /scannow…..this will run a file and it will replace corrupted files…
If you have a virus I’d suggest you go out and purchase a physical copy of some form of Virus protection software (Norton, McAfee, etc.) and install it. Often times trojans can prevent the install and if this is the case and you don’t consider yourself a computer geek or highly savvy in these cases (or know anyone who is), then I would dust off your op/sys CD’s and do a reformat (last resort).
