Shouldn’t we be able to rely on the operating system to keep itself in stable condition? My registry cleaner found 6000 errors this month alone. Since the OS is such an important function of the computer; why can’t it pick up after itself?

To me, the OS can not do such a thing. It doesn’t know what all the user is going to do with it. People download and install so many programs that leave traces here and there. Trojans, viruses, and spyware infect computers and leave chaos. Ultimately, it is up to the user to keep their system clean and running smoothly.
