Run a full system scan with you anti virus software, if there is nothing found, I would ditch the registry cleaner and just defragment the computer. It will make your computer run more smoothly. Make sure you delete all the temp files on the internet too.
Have you cleaned all temporary internet files, temp files and cookies?
Internet explorer 7 has a button that will clean all of these for you in one click otherwise you have to go to the folders and delete them manually.
c:\documents and settings\YOUR LOGON NAME\local settings\temp
c:\documents and settings\YOUR LOGON NAME\local settings\temporary internet files
c:\documents and settings\YOUR LOGON NAME\cookies
Obviously the free registry cleaner does not clean the registry, if the same files keep reappearing. If you truly want to clean the registry, that’s only a small part of cleaning up your computer’s junk files. Try Microsoft’s Live OneCare Cleanup Scan to quickly and safely clean the registry and reset restore points for XP.

And uninstall and remove the piece of junk you are currently using.
