   I am having similiar problems and I just installed "the world’ browser and Thunderbird e-mail. These are free and don’t have all the problems of IE7 and Outlook Express. Hope that this helps.

   You can simply if you do not want internet explorer (this option doesn’t fully get rid of it off your system though but might help)

   Go to the Control Panel then to Add and Remove programs. On the left side there is an icon you can click for windows components. Once you open that you can simply scroll down and uncheck internet explorer etc… then press ok and follow the prompts.
