   It’s better to install the same windows from another cd and get it activated over phone through microsoft

   Maybe. If it’s a known company then chances are yes. But remember that an install disc doesnt have to be dead specific to the sticker. Example, if the sticker is for windows 7 64bit then any disc for installing windows 7 64bit, the sticker will work

   May be may be not. If you have the product key you can install from another disk and then call microsoft on the phone and get it activated.

   Most will, they generally charge for more than just shipping though, I’d expect to pay anywhere from $10 to $25

   It is possible to borrow someone elses CD or even download a copy of windows from the internet which you can install using your CD key (which should be on the side of the case and the manufacturer will NOT replace)
