If I have Symantec Endpoint Protection virus protection, should I disable Windows Defender?

   Symantec endpoint protection is for Networks only. If u don’t have a network then u shouldn’t have SEP installed.

   No,leave it be.Windows Defender has real time detection and removal so why lessen your security measures?

   You can disable Windows Defender if you want to, but since Windows Defender came pre-installed with Windows Vista, it is configured to work efficiently with your current antivirus program, so you should not have to worry about your computer’s performance.

   And Windows Defender provides real-time protection free of charge as well (something that free anti-spyware programs would not do), so why not just leave it on your computer as a backup spyware scanner just in case Symantec missed some threats in its scan?
