   I would use registry mechanic. it is a great program, however, I cannot say whether or not it will fix your problem. You can also try clicking start, run, type cmd, in the command box type chkdsk /r. It will need a restart but it will run check disk prior to windows starting.

   I have used Regcure regularly without causing any problems.
   Windows vista and XP.

   a good registry cleaner shouldnt mess it up. check for TuneUp Utilities, it has a registry cleaner that gets rid of old registry files you dont need and ones left behind by programs you’ve uninstalled. it also checks for disk errors and other stuff, its really good i recommend it. its a free trial, but if you like it and want to keep it, email me and i could help you out a bit;)

   registry cleaner is a piece of sh*t i used that before but nothing happen it will make ur pc worst

   A registry cleaner can mess up your pc yeah! Especially if you try just any random one you find for free on the internet.
