Which disk did you put in the other computer? The CD or the hard disk drive?
In general, when moving a boot drive (hard disk drive or other, but excluding installation media) from one computer to another, you will have problems. The drivers in the installation on the first computer will be specific to that type of motherboard (including the chipset) and other devices. The second computer might have a different chipset, or other differences that require different drivers. When this is the case, this may prevent the computer from booting properly. The drivers installed for the first computer might not work on the second.

Take a look at both my answer and the one given by Chickster. The link in my answer supports the explanation given in his.
yes it should work but you would need to install the driver for that new motherboard and everything else unless they are identical computers. a other thing you could do is try deleting the Partition on the hard drive or formatting it before running windows setup.
i dont see any reason why it wouldnt. i would assume that windows xp would detect all the new hardware changes and any drivers installed on the os would have to be updated. other than that i would give it a shot.
