   have you tried clearing out your browser cache? Additionally, lots of those "registry cleaners" turn out to be malware themselves…

   several very good (free) legitimate programs are Malwarebytes and Spybot Search and Destroy (links below). Also, Avira antivirus makes a free edition that actually ranks higher than McAfee and Norton for detection.

   Beyond clearing out your browser cache, you could try switching browsers (perhaps to mozilla firefox or google chrome).

   I would continue with the checks for malware.

   Try malwarebytes. Download and install it and then reboot into Safe Mode and can your entire machine.
