like a scan of the Microsoft web site or any type or web sight.
i need to see if my computer is missing some drivers or something like that because it seems to act funny. (it’s free of ad aware viruses exc.)
what other missing components can make you computer run slow?

Open a command prompt and type
sfc /scannow
SFC will check your system files and replace bad ones. But missing files rarely slow a system down. The usual problem is too much junk installed and running all the time. Start, Run, Msconfig. Uncheck all the items on the startup tab and restart the system. If that’s faster, leave it that way or re-enable only the items you miss.
I’m not well versed in Windows Vista, but I know there’s something in the Control Panel that lets you check and download driver updates for your hardware. I’m using Linux right now, so I can’t really show you.
Alternatively, you can google for a program that searches driver updates for your PC (not sure if it’s free)

Try out CCleaner, which cleans out unused files that clutter and slow down you computer, keeps your privacy by cleaning your internet history, and even cleans your registry. http://www.ccleaner.com/
Defrag once per 2 weeks or a month. That helps too.
