Great online scan and removal as well as other great tools. All are free and work great.
I use my computer for what I can only call General use. I log on to all the popular web sites that everyone else logs on to, so I expose my computer to all the usual threats that every other user is at risk from.
For the last year I have protected my computer with 1.) The default Windows firewall. 2.) AVG 7.5 (Upgraded to 8 this week) 3.) Spybot Search and Destroy and 4.) Spyware Blaster. In the year I have used the above combination I have never had a single problem with either viruses or spyware. I have temporarilly downloaded several other free scans and none have found anything my existing software hadn’t already alerted me to and dealt with. Which proved that extra scans were not needed. The above security combination is a firm favourite with me, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I hope this answer helps you.
Run these two free online scans:
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/
These scans take time & remove what they find; the first scan is good at finding & removing virus & Trojans the second virus & spyware.

Read rossng11 answer – AVG is a poor AV, I would remove it for a better AV.
try online scaner called..’xcleaner’
Really you have to download but AVG is a good one, we use it, it’s really good for getting rid of viruses.
you are better off installing CCleaner or AVG as you will be protected from viruses and also with CCleaner you can fix registry errors, free up space, fix broken shortcuts etc etc.
Just go to http://www.download.com and search for them!
You can scan for problems using the internet without a program being installed however you are going to open yourself up to the possibilities of Viruses, Trojans etc being installed into your computer!
Why not? Try Avira (http://www.free-av.com/ ) and Spyware Terminator (http://www.spywareterminator.com/ (turn off web security guard)
It’s perfectly safe.
This is a scanner; I don’t know if it removes: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/
I think you have to install them all or else they can’t access the information in your computer. There is a very good one that my geek friend recommended and I have in my computer called AVG. You should give it a try. You gotta install it though.
no
all scans must be installed
although you could run them off a cd or flash drive
but in general junk removal must be installed
ccleaner is the best junk removal tool i have come across
No. CCleaner isn’t that good. Use Eusing Free Registry Cleaner. It will help a lot.
No but a great one you can install is ccleaner
