go to start button, go to accessories, go to system tools, click on disk cleanup, and defragmenter….one at a time, let the program run then the other, just not at the same time. this should help. merry Christmas, john
p.s. if that doesn’t work….you have a bug….run your spysweeper in safe mode three times in a row…this will take time. good luck
CCleaner it is free
Yes definetly, but it requires saving all of your data on another disk or drive. Then, format the hard drive down and reinstall the operating system.
I have made an "image" of my PC and re-image my pc every couple of weeks – It’s time consuming the first round, but if you make an image of it, it only takes 15 minutes to reinstall it. I use Norton Ghost for it.
You could do it manually if you have had any experience with the registry. I sometimes manually modify the registry to remove an references to applications that I removed as some uninstallers to do not always remove all registry references. If you have not had any experience working with the registry, I would suggest you get an app, such as Registry Mechanic, and run it weekly. You might also check Sofotex for a free registry cleaner.
