BleachBit both cleans your PC (cache, temporary files, cookies, etc) and securely shreds any files and folders (such as a spreadsheet on your desktop).

"Eraser" doesn’t identify files like cookies, cache, etc, and CCleaner doesn’t shred files and folders
CCleaner is the best freeware on the market so far. Just google it
The one I use goes over the file 3 times, writing all zeros to it, so there is no trace left of what was there.

It’s free, and works very well.
If your planning to sell your computer, and want to wipe everything clean, then get "KillDisk" also free. Run it 3 times, it only does one pass per go. Then reinstall windows. No hard drive forensics will beat these either!

I keep a CD of kill disk in my shop. It’s great to use for people selling their computers.
Yes Clean N’ Optimize is a powerful easy to use tool to Clean, Optimize, and protect your system. It has highly customizable cleaning options and supports the most common web browsers and chat applications. It has a built in Shredder, so the cleaned files/folders can not be recovered again and separate shredder to manually shred files, folders, drives empty space, and recycle bin with the most famous and secure shredding algorithms.

CCleaner
Best shredder out there (and it’s freeware) is "eraser", it overwrites using any of a number of methods, so not even the FBI geniuses can ever see what was written there.
You’ve got to do your homework if you want to really clean things up thoroughly, because windows leaves little traces of everything you do in various places, such as "recent documents", index.dat files, etc.
Ccleaner is another great cleaner that hits just about everything. You have to choose the secure erase function to actually overwrite, as opposed to just deleting stuff.
