   I used the program, too, and it’s crap (especially because Dell made it seem free).

   Go to your vendor’s site and download + install them.

   Yes…

   Uninstall the shareware garbage.
   Find out what Nvidia/ATI/Intel driver your system uses from the owner/user manual.
   Go to the proper website and download them for free. Drivers are always free.
   I would also download the latest DirectX also.

   yes, its easy, just download the drivers manually

   You can check with the vendor of the laptop to find the most up to date drivers, However,

   i think that there might be a problem with the software itself being bloated or the computer statistics not being enough if your computer kept freezing. Please edit the details of your computer (model number) so that we can help you out more on whether or not sims 3 would work ok on your laptop
