I have to agree that it is much more effeciant to just by a spare key.
Also if you have a key you need to get rid of just stick it in a vise and start banging away at it or put it to a grinder!!
Hmmm? Given that many KEYS are made of brass, and the melting point is approx. 940 degrees "C"; I suspect this is a challenge not worth the effort.
Not an easy way. You need a source of high heat. The metal would need to be strong so the key doesn’t break.
Those blanks sell for 70 cents in places like Lowe’s.
I am not sure what "killing a key" is. I am sure that if the object is to get a blank, then the cost of fuel and the risk that you will get burnt by molten metal makes buying it for 70 cents a much better deal.
