I would tell them if they can’t use the computer right that they will start paying to have it repaired
Control Panel > Admin tools > Event Log – just look under system to find the shutdown and startup times
The windows itself has a logging record, rightclick My computer and select "Manage", then under system tools you can open "Event Viewer" it records here the activity of your pc, it is better to have your own user account, it will show there the user name…
