Have you run your anti-virus software over and over in hopes of your computer running faster, but never works. I’ll give you another option to try.
Run disk de-fragment
Step1
In the bottom left hand corner of your screen there will be the "start" button. Click on it.
Step2
Move the mouse just up from the start button and hold the mouse cursor(arrow) over "all programs".
Step3
Another set of menus will appear, hold your mouse cursor over "accessories" .
Step4
Another set of menus will appear, hold your mouse cursor over "system tools".
Step5
A set of programs will appear, select "Disk Defragmenter".
Step6
When this screen pops up, select "defragment". When this screen pops up, select "defragment".
Step7
Now you have to wait for the defragmentation process which can take up to a couple of hours.
Step8
When finished, you can view the report if you wish. It tells you how much space you’ve opened up.

Hi,

[A] Making your computer fast fast:
– – – – –
As you install new programs, uninstall existing, change settings, create new files and do much more with your computer, your computer lost the performance that you suffered on the fresh installation of Microsoft Windows. For instance, as you create/ delete the files on your hard drive, it leads to fragmentation, and apparently slows down the system.
I have provided the information of the system optimization tricks that will help you enhance the computer performance, if you follow them regularly, at least once in a week. Some of the below tasks can be done using a software called RegInOut available for download here: http://download.cnet.com/RegInOut/3000-2094_4-10965219.html?part=dl-10053761&subj=dl&tag=button
Here is what you need to do:
1. Defrag all the drives on your computer
2. Clean-up the registry and fix errors [Using RegInOut]
3. Defrag the registry [Using RegInOut]
4. Prevent execution of unwanted startup and services items
5. Delete the files, stuff you no longer require
6. Uninstall the programs that you do not use
7. Set-up your system for best performance; rather than best appearance

Another reason of slowing down your computer is virus infection. Often, viruses do a lot of processes without your knowledge in the background, and that’s why, your system gets slowed. So, installing a good antivirus software and updating it regularly will be a best choice. I will suggest Free Avast of Kaspersky Pure.

[B] Making your Web Browser & Surfing fast:
– – – – –
[A] Disable unnecessary add-ons:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools | Manage Add-Ons.
3. In the "Show" drop-down box, select "All Add-Ons".
4. Disable those add-ons you no longer needed.
5. Click "Close" and restart the browser.
[B] Clean browser stuff:
Click "System Cleaner" in RegInOut, and click "Clean" to delete the items you don’t want, for instance, cookies, download history, internet cache, internet history, saved form info, and so on.
Or, otherwise, open Internet Explorer, and click Tools | Delete Browsing History.

Yes you can. I would suggest you to download reginout. You would like it for sure. It enables your system for optimum performance.
Yes. Clear out all the rubbish.
Do a Disk cleanup on your C: drive.
Uninstall all the programs you do not need.
Check the space on your C: drive. If you have space then you can make Virtual Memory larger.
The best way by far is to delete everything and reinistall Windows. But this takes quite a lot of time. And you must backup all your important files first.
brillant tool for making a pc faster is cc cleaner and it’s free and does a great job! Also run a system defragmentation this really helps to speed up a PC.
Good Luck!
Yes
Ccleaner and defraging a computer is a good idea. You can also disable programs that you do not need that load on start up. This will make boot time faster depending on how many load. There are also many windows services that are running that you may not need. But this could be a slow process because you must look up what each service does before disabling it.
