Clean Registry and Optimize PC
No. But any unknown reg cleaner or even well known badly programed ones can do damage. Stick to quality brands/names. Research into what it does before you run it.
Windows and Norton have worked great for me so far. It’s best to have a malware and virus protector running full time, before you need a reg cleaner.
ive never had a problem with one
It really just depends. Many registry cleaners will wipe out more than just uninstalled program entries. Many times they’ll wipe file extension relations and many other things (which isn’t "harmful" per se, just annoying). Technically, you can’t optimize and clean out your registry, but there aren’t very many that can get it all right (or mostly right).

Personally, i like Wondershare Registry Optimizer which has integrated functions like clean and optimize registry, IE manager, Stat up manager, uninstall manager and back up tools.
