To choose a registry fixer, the most important thing is that it should be a safe and stable one. I mean it won’t delete useful files from your computer and then strongly impact computer performance.
Also, you should the importance of registry.Registry is the centre database of your computer operating system which contains information and settings for hardware, operating system software, most non-operating system software, and per-user settings. You must load the registry whenever you launch any programs on your computer. If the registry is too fat or with some errors, computer’s performance will seriously be impacted.
It should has a powerful function of fixing registry errors and optimize registry. However, you just need to click simple buttons to take a full to scan your computer and find errors. Then, you still need to Click simple buttons to fix them all.
Personally, i like Wondershare Registry Optimizer which has integrated functions like clean and optimize registry, IE manager, Stat up manager, uninstall manager and back up tools.
Hope you find a proper one.
Webroot sucks lol. It’s only good for detecting spyware. Its virus detections is terrible.
I recommend Kaspersky Internet Security.

As for cleaning your registry, the only good registry cleaner I can recommend is System Mechanic.

System Mechanic is a multi tool pc tune up utility. Probably the best in the world.
You shouldn’t download a free registry cleaner. Even though CCleaner could work, it hasn’t been designed to work with Windows 7 and it could mess up your computer.
don’t bother using avg or norton or anything like that:

just use the tools provided in accessories > system tools
theyre already on your pc and theyre free!
Ccleaner is one of the useful tool for registry cleaner. as well as it cleans your dump files.
If that is what you got then add anti-malware programs. Google for Malwarebytes, SUPERAntiSpyware, SpywareBlaster and they are all free. You can even get the paying versions of Malwarebytes or SUPERAntiSpyware and their real-time protections won’t conflict with Webroot.
You don’t need a registry cleaner. You’re better off without one because registry cleaner does nothing and more likely to harm instead. Even removing redundant keys can make things worst because you may need those keys later on and the keys can become fragmented after the while. No two registry cleaners are the same and if you run all of the legit cleaners, all of them will give different results because each registry cleaners have their own interpretations of redundant keys.
It doesn’t fix problems like crashing, freezing and other relating errors because the claims are largely myths spewed from the registry cleaning companies. Also, you need to be careful because many of these softwares are rogue or crapware.
Another point is that the average or less skilled user will not know what these keys mean and if it is safe to remove them.

CCleaner at CNET http://www.download.com
Also get Smart Defrag to defrag your hard drive after it’s been cleaned out of all the sludge that bogs down your OS

You don’t need a registry cleaner, they don’t really do anything, and a bad one will delete necessary info and then you’ll have real computer problems.
