   First check whether your computer can detect the audio CD. Do this by inserting the CD in the drive and then go to my computer. If it can detect, it will show as an Audio CD. Try opening Windows Media Player and playing the songs. If it can play, it means that ITunes may have got corrupt. Try re-installing the software or download the latest version and install it. This can help you.

   Go to the Acer website, and download the CD ROM driver software again… install it, and see if that fixes your issue. If not, it may be a hardware thing.

   You probablem is like mine it probably dvd rom seperate did you drop it a few times I would say buy an external dvd drive that can beconnected through usb

   That’s possible but inlikely. It’s more likely that the audio driver is either corrupt or having a conflict with some of the preloaded software. I’d recommend downloading the latest drivers for the CD/DVD drive and your soundcard, then remove both from your hardware profile and reboot. Install the drivers and reboot. That should restore full functionality, if not take a look at updating your Windows Media player – you’d be suprised just pervasive the install for that little gem is!
