My computer has become very slow. Is there a registry cleaner that is actually free and does not require a cc?

the only way to get your pc to run at top speed again is a fresh reinstall of windows. CCleaner is a fine product, but it won’t solve all the problems.
1.From IE, click Tools, Internet Options
delete cookies
delete files (offline files)
clear history (set days to save to 0 if you want)
click o.k., and Restart
2.click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools – run Disk Cleanup
3.Temporarily close Quick Launch:
Right-click on the Taskbar, click Toolbars, deselect Quick Launch
4.Open My Computer
right-click on C:
click Properties
click Tools, select Error Check (check all and fix), when finished click defrag & run.
5.click Start, Run ipconfig renew (type ipconfig space renew)
6.Restart. Right-click on Taskbar, click Toolbars, select Quick Launch to restore
All these things should be done regularly. The more frequently they are run, the less time they take.
-Note: Games and videos are mostly graphics. Graphics create large files. If these suggestions don’t help, you might need more memory.
Last, if you haven’t cleaned your registry in a while. This is necessary. Your registry holds all the information regarding updates, installs, un-installs etc. Each one of those events produces a key. That key needs your PC’s resources and free space. So, if you clean your registry, you make more resources available for speed. Do a registry scan if you got more than 20 errors you should clean it.

Slow computers are caused by a number of reasons, and it could be down to anything from having too many programs on your system to a poor level of hardware.
Registry cleaners don’t actually speed up your PC as you might imagine – they just remove a bunch of junk & erroneous files which might be making it run slow. And obviously, the more of these corrupt files they remove the better.
You can use a cleaner like "CCleaner" for free… but this tool is not that effective in all honesty. I made a video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEuJTyG5yWo which shows it only finds like 50 problems to fix… whilst some other paid cleaners find 500+ problems on the same PC.
you’d better find what problems are that cause computer slow down. and then solve them to speed up computer.
I recommend the following ways to you:
1.run a antivirus software to scan your computer fully.
virus usually impacts the speed of computer.
If there is no virus, see the possible reasons that make computers slow down and solutions.
2.Registry is the centre database of your computer operating system which contains information and settings for hardware, operating system software, most non-operating system software, and per-user settings. You must load the registry whenever you launch any programs on your computer. If the registry is too fat or with some errors, computer’s performance will seriously be impacted. So, you need to clean up registry and fix its errors.
If you are not familiar with registry, don’t remove files away from it and clean up it easily for you may delete important things that will make your computer in trouble. You’d better choose to use a professional registry cleaner, personally,I like wondershare registry optimizer,it’s not free but it’s safe and stable to operating system.
3.There must be too many programs start up automatically when you start your computer.Run a registry optimizer or cleaner to stop those unnecessary start-up programs.
4.Have you ever clean up your computer since you bought it? If the answer is never, I am sure that there are lots of junk files on it. Junk files is also one of reasons that will cause computer slowing down. You’d better delete them regularly.
2,3,4 can be realized by a registry optimizer.
5.If a registry optimizer doesn’t work, add RAM or do a fresh reinstall of windows. Before you do a reinstall, please remember to back up.However, you should know that frequent reinstall is harm to hard disk.
6.Put programs on other drivers ,not C driver, because commonly C is for operating system. And defrag hard disks every 2 months.
Good luck.
Ccleaner,then use its registry tool.
Always run a defragmentaion after this as it will help.
Start/programs/accesories/system tools/disk defragmenter.
Keep in mind that all webcams, dig cameras,printers,mp3 players, adobe acrobat, java, msoft office, messengers etc… all wish to load at startup and do not need to for anyreason unless you are on a network in a work place.
start/run then type msconfig to veiw your startup items or use CCleaners option.
In the future please add your operating system version [win2000,xp,vista,Windows7]as much advice given cannot always work on all operating systems .Heck, you might even be using a Mac or a linux OS.
I hope this can be of help to you
you need to install regcure it will prove to be the good registery cleaner for you.You can install registry fix…
Some folks would recommend you go out and buy upgrades or a completely new system. If you have the money then go for it. If you don’t, then why not try to fully optimize your current system? Often times this will solve the problem and turbo charge your system. Scan your computer for free and get a full diagnosis at:

I know them. Try each
I have used CCleaner and it’s been phenomenal. I’ve also heard it recommended by other people as well. It’s 100% free and does a heck of a job. I would start with that one and be sure to back up your registry before the cleaning, just to be totally safe. In fact, I think that’s an option in the software.
Good luck!
I would be very leery about running registry cleaners. It can hose your computer if not used correctly.
I would install CCleaner. It is a free and popular tool to clean off temporary files and clean your system.
