There are a bunch of ways that you can speed up your computer. In fact you can get your computer back to it’s "brand new" speed without buying any new hardware. Here are some tips: http://www.ehow.com/how_2275357_computer-run-faster.html
If you got the anti Virius software on a website for free that was not the best idea. The always pop up and can slow you PC down. The best place to get some is at a store that costs money. They seem to be more reliable
•This is a Trojan: Description
http://www.symantec.com/security_respons…
alias: WinAntivirusPro; WinFixer
WinFixer is a Security Risk that may give exaggerated reports of threats on the computer. The program then prompts the user to purchase a registered version of the software in order to remove the reported threats. more…

You can download this DEPENDABLE TOOL:
•I know of several people who have used AVG and gotten a virus anyway.
I like this FREE tool that does an EXCELLENT job.
Avast free Home Edition
Get it here:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht…
And please do a "thorough" scan as soon as you get it downloaded. The user interface is simple. Click the left side, and in the top menu that comes up, select thorough scan.
When it finds a culprit it throws up an alarm, then you DELETE the culprit, (do not quaranteen).
Then allow it to run all of the time, and you will be completely protected. It will "automatically" update itself, also for free.
You only need to renew your registration once a year, also free.
I’ve tried them all, and have had wonderful results with this one for the last 5 years.

If this program is really stubborn, and you can’t seem to get rid of it in Control Panel > Add Remove Programs
then you need this tool also:
There are many programs that are so cleverly coded that you have difficulty removing them, even going through Add & Remove Programs…
Here is a handy little tool that is FREE
download and follow the instructions
and those nuisance programs will be removed on reboot.
Use Program:
REMOVE ON BOOT SHELL EXTENSION
Go to:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/removereboot.html
Scroll down to: (and click it to download)
Remove on Reboot Shell Extension – Free
1. Download it
2. To remove program >Right click on your program folder that you want removed
3. Left click sub-menu option: REMOVE ON REBOOT
4. Then reboot your pc
I’ve had lots of great luck with this little program. I think you’ll like it too.
***********************
Note: To get to a program FOLDER (not just the shortcut icon) >
a. RIGHT click START > select Explore >
b. then in the Explore window, left panel >
c. scroll down to Programs >
d. then in Programs scroll down to the FOLDER that has the program you want to remove
e…then do the right click "remove on reboot" selection >
f. Restart your computer
^j^
Go to control panel and go to add/remove programs. Remove all of the crappy Antivirus programs you’ve installed. I’m sure you have more than one and they are all scanning and running in the background at the same time. This will really slow your computer down. After uninstalling them, the popups will stop, restart your machine and install AVG Anti-Virus, its free.
http://free.grisoft.com/
Run it to delete any spyware and viruses.
This is exactly what Best Buy will do, except it’ll take them a few days.
All those antivirus programs are interfering with each other. Uninstall all of them, besides the one that you want to use to clean your computer out.
PC Privacy Cleaner
Registry Defender Platinum
Antivirus 2008 PRO
Safeweb navigate 2008
all of these programs are fraudulent. i mean, they are non-functional, they do nothing but load pop-ups and they urge you to pay money for it. that is total scam. now if you don’t wanna pay for the removal of these malwares, you can download free antispyware and run a scan. you can download reputable free anti-spyware tools here: http://www.2-spyware.com/compare2.php
